Abstract
A Concept Analysis of Comfort offers the reader a look into the various definitions of the word comfort. The author attempts to lay the foundation for a greater understanding of the concept of comfort by addressing existing definitions of comfort as they appear in writings from fields such as nursing, psychology, and the workplace. Then defining attributes will be discussed as they pertain to the health care field and society in general. Model and contrary cases will be presented to further elucidate the concept. It is the author’s hope that after reading this analysis, the reader will have an expanded view of the concept that is applicable to his or her professional and personal experiences.
