Computer Usage

Starting the computer:

Turn the power on, on both the Base unit and the monitor.
(Power button on the base unit is located in the front, power button for the monitor is located in the back of the monitor).

Let the computer boot up, you will see a series of sequences appear on screen, just wait until you get the pink screen, with two symbols.

Starting the program

Click twice on the icon labeled: Program manager.
This will open up to another window with several symbols. Click twice on the symbol labeled: Microsoft Word. This will open up the word processing program.

At this point, the program is ready for you to type. You will see your typing on the white part of the screen.

Other parts of your program:
The top part of the screen in your program will show what is called a menu bar. These are the titles that show on the very top part of the screen, They will ready: File, Edit, View, etc.
