Introduction

Computers in our society can be considered at large one of the most reveloutionising piece of technology that we have come across with a multitude of activities uses and positive changes that have occurred with there arrivad, yet the reality is with all good things there is alwyas a downside and there are side-effects to computing as well.

Addictions come in many forms from gambaling to smoking to heroin but all share a commanality an addiction results from indulging in a substance or an activity that produces a shift in mental state and triggers an alternate reality. The concept that people can form addictions to computing is a relatively afresh one, but a new coause for concern. The general concensus amongst society shows that the problem at hand is not a recognisble problem that needs great attention yet this ignorance cannot continue for to long.
