In comparing these two poems we first realize what it is that creates a link between them. These two poems are based on certain situations that are still seen in our society till this day. Which reminds us that we really have not progressed. In ballad of the landlord and madam and the rent man there is a connection is promises being made and nothing being done to fix the situation.
