Compare the Alessi Kettle to a Haden kettle

The Alessi kettle would be used by Adults rather that children, due to certain safety features. Looking at the design of the Alessi kettle it is reminiscent of old fashioned teapots. Unlike the Haden kettle the Alessi kettle is an item of beauty, it is made out of stainless steel, so it looks modern, and looks like something that would be found in a new kitchen today.
