The seduction is a modern piece written in the style of a rhythmical poem. The Genre of the poem reflects the antics of teenage life and the miss guided thoughts and actions of youths today. It sets the scene of a young boy and girl who are fairly drunk, after experiencing loud music and large quantities of alcohol, all consumed at a party earlier on that Saturday night. Like a normal teenage boy, hormones were running high and being in the company of a drunken young girl, he was at a great advantage. ‘ He handed her the vodka, and she knocked it back like water.’ By managing to get the helpless young girl into a drunken stupor, he fulfilled his initial intentions thinking nothing more of her than a little 'slag.’ Unfortunately for the young girl the worse had dawned upon her, and the clock could not be turned back.
