Comparative Report

In this report I will be highlighting the slight modifications the director has made in the visual text “The Crucible” compared to the written text. In doing so I hope I can make an accurate comparison

At first we read “The Crucible” as a class text, during this I found it hard to fully understand what was going on, mostly due to the scripts terminology. This meant grasping the whole story was more difficult and what intensity and emotions these characters were going through. We also chose certain students from the class to act/read out the lines of a character, therefore making the story easier to understand. I believe this was very beneficial to the readers.

My first noticeable alteration in the beginning was the film starts off with a group of girls running around in the town’s forest. They appear to be having fun, sitting in a circle...
