Comparason of Frank Lloyd Wright and Samuel Mockbee

A great Architect is not made by way of a brain nearly so much as he is made by way of a cultivated, enriched heart.” Frank Lloyd Wright would perfectly describe Samuel Mockbee in his conquest for socially conscious architecture. Although Wright and Mockbee were miraculous in their professions, each had different views on the significance architecture. Both in the duration of their career designed housing for low-income families. Their approach in designing the houses differed in many ways from materials to design concepts. I believe that to improve the communities with excessive poverty; it is fundamental for an architect to be socially conscious.
Where an Architect comes from helps shape their views. Samuel Mockbee was born in Mississippi were he was surround by poverty. His surrounding environment fueled his fire to design for the poor.
