Community College

Students who attend community college are more likely than students at a 4 year institution. Community college students leave school for a variety of reasons including personal and financial difficulties, frustration, and being academically unprepared for college.

Community college students leave due to personal and financial difficulties reasons. If they have personal conflicts in their home life it may be distracting enough to make them drop out. Community college students are more likely to have a job, a family, and a home with responsibilities. Funding for college is also a concern. Many can not afford to pay for their schooling and books, and they think at the time when they are signing up for classes they would be able to afford the classes and realize with the cost of books and tuition that their families need the money more then they need their education.
