"In January of 2000, God led a group of people to explore the possibility of beginning a non-denominational Christian School, and after a short period of time, it was evident that God was leading them to begin a new school." This is how Community Christian School, also known as CCS became a reality.
When the school first opened on August 22 of 2000, it met at Raleigh Road Baptist Church with 120 students in grades Kindergarten 4 through 10th grade. In November of that year the 11th grade was added. After the completion of the 3.5 million dollar facility on Packhouse Road here in Wilson, CCS started its second year on September 10, 2001. Now nearly 300 students are enrolled in grades Kindergarten for 4 year olds through the 12th grade.
At CCS they have entrance requirements and procedures. They want to maintain "spiritual and academic standards." There are seven procedures that are followed to ...
