Cluster computing

The need of high performance computing facility increases greatly recent years across wide range areas in science, engineering, medicine, commerce1. The high performance computing requirements spur the research on cluster computing, grid computing, and similarly parallel computing mechanism. The availability of powerful microprocessors and high-speed networks, as well as in part by the rapidly maturing software components available to support high performance and high availability applications, fuel the interest of cluster computing2. Cluster Computing is the technology that combining Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) computers (i.e. PCs) with a high speed network to form a single powerful super-computer.
