Chrohn's Disease

There are many different types of gastrointestinal disease that affect many different people. One of these diseases is Crohn’s Disease. Crohn’s disease is a chronic autoimmune disease that is able to effect any part of the gastrointestinal system, but most of the time effects the ileum, the place where the small intestine and the large intestine connect.
Crohn’s Disease also has a couple of other names. It also goes by Inflammatory Bowel Disease, Regional Enteritis, Lleitis, or Granulonatous Illocolitis.
Crohn’s Disease is caused when the immune system attacks the body’s own cells, like any other gastrointestinal disease, but is different in the fact that it is also believed to have genetic factors. Crohn’s Disease can occur at any age, but people who are at highest risk are people who are adolescence or young adults.
