Christian Service Project
What I did for my Christian Service Project was to help my great grandmother out with daily chores around the house. My great grandmother is 89 years old and lives alone, so she can obviously use the help. Some of the chores I helped her with included, vacuuming the living room carpet, dusted the furniture and picture frames, helped clean the bathroom and washing dishes. The one fun thing I did at her house was organized picture frames and photo albums of all the grandchildren and great grandchildren. This was a lot of fun.
What I learned about my great grandmother were her struggles when she immigrated to Canada from Italy. Life in Italy was very hard for her and my great grandfather and their children. During World War II, my great grandparents hid British soldiers in their house. German soldiers came looking for the British soldiers.
