Chrisitians in the Marketplace

Everyday thousands of Christians enter the mission field, and I’m not talking about missionaries overseas, evangelists, or even pastors. I’m talking about the marketplace. Each person who calls him/herself a follower of Christ and who has a job is responsible for their own mission field. Whether you work a typical “9 to 5” job 40 hours a week or are a part-time employee at Starbucks, as a Christian you are responsible for your witness on the job. The marketplace is a very important mission field, one that is sometimes overlooked in the ministry world.
I feel a very strong call from God to focus my own personal ministry in the marketplace. This however does not mean that I have to wait until I am in a full-time career to do this. I can start now at my current job, part-time manager at White Barn Candle Company.
