Choose a significant moment from two works of literature and explain what gives them their dramatic or powerful impact.

The play “Pygmalion” by G. Bernard Shaw, focuses on the story of a flower girl who is turned into an elegant good looking lady. This is the reason why the moment from this literature work that is going to be analyzed is when Eliza arrived at the Buckingham Palace. Eliza got all dressed up with fine clothing and jewelry and pretended she was a Duchess. Everyone got very surprised with her looks and fine manners.
As we know, Professor Higgins made a bet with Eliza that said that in six months he would make a duchess out of her and that Mrs. Pearce, his housekeeper, would help her. In the meanwhile, if the king finds out that she is actually a flower girl, she will be beheaded by the police at the Tower of London. Of course this was going to take months of preparation so, patience was necessary but Higgins didn’t realized that or just didn’t want to.
The changes were very difficult. Eliza didn’t adapt to the fact that she needed to take baths, and change clothes everyday. But...
