Child Abuse
There are four categories of child abuse these include the following:
Neglect : parent or care taker does not provide for a child basic needs. Neglect involves failure to provide appropriate food, shelter, clothing, education, health care, inadequate supervision or abandonment.
Emotional abuse and mental abuse: refers to a parent belittling or shaming the child as well as failure to support or respond emotionally to the child. Some forms of punishment are, confinement of a child in a dark room. Hanging a young child from a wall hook, or tortures a child emotionally.
Physical abuse: are both major and minor injuries to the body of a child. A child who suffer physical abuse, are also likely to suffer neglect and emotionally abuse. Physical action such as hitting, or kicking a child is physical abuse. Being locked in a room for more than five hours, or told that he or she would not have food for a whole day or longer.
