Chesapeake vs New England

There were many differences in the development of New England and Chesapeake society ever since people began moving to the New World. The Chesapeake wanted to move to American because of the environment and agricultural opportunities which caused them to need many slaves for their work. While people who moved to New England moved for economic and religious reasons.
People who moved to New England left England because they wanted to change the ways of the Church of England. Puritans believed that church and state should work together to put forward the purity of the church and help people to succeed both materially and spiritually. The people who moved to New England, who were mostly Puritans, thought the land was a religious haven, where they were allowed to believe as they wished.
