Charity, The pure love of Christ

For as long as I can remember, I have been a seeker of finding out exactly what true love is. I would look for evidence of it in songs, movies, other peoples relationships, and even coming up with some pretty weird analogies of what love is like. I think this quest of finding "true love" has been pounded into us since we were little kids, just check out the Disney movies we grew up with.

However, over the past few months i have come to realize just what true love is, and now i know that if you can apply whatever definition of love the media or whoever else is throwing at you, to the way our savior, Jesus Christ, feels for us, then it has SOME grounds for truth.

I have begun to see how sometimes love is mistakenly described or portrayed as something selfish or prideful. That is definitely not true love. The perfect definition of true love is in fact charity.
