Change

Macbeth was one of the shortest plays William Shakespeare wrote. In 1605 and 1606 the play was performed at the Globe theater in London. The play was first published in the year 1623. Some people would say change is good for all of us. In the play Macbeth change is both a positive and negative force. Throughout the play both Lady Macbeth and Macbeth change. In comparing the married couple they are like opposites.
Lady Macbeth changes dramatically throughout the play. In the beginning of the play she is evil. “Come, you spirits that tend on mortal thoughts, unsex me here, and fill me, from the crown to the toe, top-full of direst cruelty!”(Act,1 Scene5, Line40) This quote is when Lady Macbeth is changing herself from a good women to one that is dark and evil. After becoming evil and Macbeth is granted Thane of Cawdor she is on a mission. She has the desire to see her husband obtain the throne through murder. She urges him to kill King Duncan.
