My name is James Graham, but my friends call me Jim. I am the only son of British parents. We live in the international area of Japanese occupied Shanghai. My father being a rich business man meant that I was born into luxury and have never lived a hard day my whole life. That was until the day that the Japanese in an act of aggression destroyed an American and a British battles cruiser in Shanghai harbor. These acts of war launched them headlong into the Second World War and turned life, as I knew it upside down. In the mayhem and chaos that followed these events, I was separated from both my parents who undoubtedly were sent to Japanese camps, leaving me all alone to fend for myself.
