Catcher in the rye

As a student in grade 11, we were assisgned to do an essay on the film, "Cool Hand Luke" or the novel, "Catcher in the Rye" by J.D. Salinger. I choose to do my essay on both Cool Hand Luke and Holdon Caufield. In class most of us came to the conclusion that Holdon Caufield and Cool Hand Luke were very much alike. Not only are they as individuals a like, but so are their lives. The few of the students that disagreed with the rest of the class wondered, how are they a like? First of all Cool Hand Luke and Holdon are alot like for various reasons. First of all they both have trouble with authority, they're both liars, uncaring for others, and also have a little big of trouble making friends.
A side from what they have in common with their lives, Holdon has a tendency of getting kicked out of every school his been to because he thinks every teacher is a phony. Or maybe it's because he thinks school is a waste of time. In either case he has a lot of family and...
