Capitalism in the United States

Free market capitalism does not exist in the US; an invisible hand of the market does not efficiently align supply and demand and jobs. Our “free” market is far from being free from its own form of inequality such as monopolies/oligopolies, corporate financial support by the government, and American citizen income disparities. With such contributors and hindrances to capitalism, there can be seen certain economic advantages unrelated to the market, constraints that can lead to imperfect consequences of this market, and overall mounting evidence to undermine America’s worldwide perception as an epitome of free market economy. These undermining ideas of corporate giants, government influence and gaps in income will be briefly demonstrated and evaluated within this paper.
