Capital Punishment

Capital punishment is a very controversial issue that has divided the nation from the colonial time to the old west to now. 60 percent of the American public support capital punishment because they believe, as bible states, that it is an ¡°eye for and eye¡± issue regard murder. It is also cheaper to execute, even with appeals it is about $100,000; it is $20,000 per year for a life sentences. And capital punishment deters murder and sets examples.
People who support capital punishment ardently and usually are victims, conservatives, Republicans and believers in the Bible. They are tough-minded individuals who strongly support the elimination of killers. They oppose liberals who weakly advocate life in prison and claim one stoops to the killer¡¯s level to execute him.
