Since President Bush initiated his re-election campaign, he has raised at least $41.4 million from May 16 to July 20, raising 50 per cent of the total raised in his campaign in the year 2000. Of the $41.4 million, $7 was raised on a Texas swing in Houston and Dallas. This gives a total of $635,000 a day since he started to raise funds.
In his fund-raises, Bush talks about the war in Iraq, the fight against terrorism and his actions to stimulate the economy, like the tax cutes made. In front of a crowd that supported him during his 2000 campaign, Bush was very relaxed and confident, since the atmosphere was totally in favor of him.
