Broad Stripes and Bright Stars

The American flag, it represents everything America stands for. It's broad stripes and bright stars are hung proudly for everyone to acknowledge and appreciate. But what if someone fails to appreciate that flag? Do we need an amendment to prevent it's burning or desecration? In my opinion, the American flag should not be protected by a constitutional amendment.
The flag symbolizes the ideals and principles of our nation, equality, justice, and freedom. In the first amendment of the constitution the people are guaranteed the freedom of speech. To burn the flag is a form of symbolic speech, and since it doesn't infringe upon the rights of others this act should be protected by the constitution. It m...
