Died October 7,1849 in Baltimore. Plot Summary: In "The Cask of Montillado" Montressor leads his enemy, Fortunado into his vaults to taste a rare, fine sherry. After luring Fortunado there Montressor chains him up and then proceeds to build a wall and traps him in the vaults. Characterization: The story mentions many characters but the story is based on Montressor, the diabolical narrator of the story.
