COMPARING THE MOVIE BRAVEHEART TO REALITY


Braveheart may not be completely historically accurate, but yet it does do a good job of portraying the spirit of the times. The battles with William Wallace and King Edward were pretty much accurate but did still have their faults. In this essay I will be finding the fact and fiction that was depicted in the movie Braveheart.
Mel Gibson did an excellent job capturing the essence of the character William Wallace. Although his portrayal is probably closer to the legendary man rather that the historical one. Mel Gibson did much research to prepare for the role of willam Wallace. In the words of many of his deciples Wallace was as brave, ruthless, strong, and also honorable beyond his time.
