I wake up every morning, jump in the shower, look down at the symbol, and that pumps me up for the day. It’s to remind me of that I have to do which is “just do it.” Page 52 (no logo)
It would not be unreasonable to say that 99% of the people who might read this line will instantly know what “just do it” is or what it refers to. Is that a bad thing? Somebody can wonder. Is it bad for a quote to be widely recognized and to inspire people? The answer is no, but when this quote is a copy write phrase written on a shoe box to promote the contents of it then the innocence of the whole idea changes completely.
And that is not the only patronizing catchy phrase that is played like a broken record in our everyday life, it seems that there is one for every product and service that is available to us today.
In this dissertation I will be arguing the issues that “hide” behind the idea of global recognition of a brand and even more worrying ...
