Born to be good?
The question raised in this particular article was one of great interest to me. The writer examines the psychology of morality and explore the notion of what motivates us to be good, bad or in different toward another person. There were many suggestions and theories on how moral behavior and empathy for others relate to one another. Several scenarios were put into place in the article, which explained stories of how people reacted to certain situations. It revealed that moral actions are simply automatic and instinctive, but do not rely on empathy alone. Though neither strong feelings of empathy nor strong moral principles can guarantee how well a person behaves. In some studies people often failed to act in accordance with their moral values.
