Boom Bust cycles

Cycles of “boom” and “bust” will remain with society forever. A modern day example is the hit success of the T.V. show Survivor. The new, unique show comes out and everyone loves it. So, all the major companies create their own new Survivor show. The reality TV show market goes “boom.” Then the market becomes saturated with reality shows. Nobody is interested anymore and the whole thing goes “bust.” This is much like what happened with three major industries on the western frontier.
