Oh blah blah blah...The exposition of Ethan Frome introduces us to the narrator as he arrives in Starkfield, Massachusetts. He notices a silent, disfigured man by the name of Ethan Frome, and begins to gather information about him. Ethan is suggested to drive the narrator to and from Corbury Flats in the middle of a winter storm, because the local horses had fallen sick with a local epidemic. On a particularly stormy night, the narrator is forced to stay overnight with Ethan.
