Black Cowboys

A cowboy is the one who tends or herds cattle on a ranch. A black cowboy is a dignified man who has charge of cows; a man who looks after cattle on a large farm and carries his work on his back. They traveled on long trails, where some men died from stampedes, freezing or over come by heat. Although cowboys come in all different colors, black, white, brown and red they all slept on the same ground, ate the same food, performed the same jobs and were exposed to the same dangers. Movie producers still labeled the white cowboys as the heroes or outlaws and the blacks, Mexicans, and Native Americans the villains.
