“In your opinion, what is the most serious problem facing the world today?”

In my opinion, the most serious problem facing the world today is overpopulation. I feel this way because there is a negative effect of high birth rates and low death rates which is a depletion in our natural resources and a downfall in our economy. This will lead to our world not being able to support the demand of our basic human needs. If our population continues to rise, the inevitable will occur—a shortage in food, housing, health care, education, and everything else needed to sustain a basic standard of living. Therefore, without adhering to these standards, we will not be able to improve the living situations for the existing population, and that will only prove that we are suffering from overpopulation.
