Biblical Imagery Vs Carl Stevenson

In Carl Stevenson’s “Leiningen Vs The Ants,” a plantation owner, and his employees, stays to fight off an army of ants, ten miles long and two miles wide, trying to destroy his plantation. Stevenson uses biblical imagery in this short story. In “Leiningen Vs The Ants,” Stevenson, places specific words into the story, such as “deluge”, “act of God”, “demon”, “fiends”, “almighty”, and other such words. The author also deputes Leiningen as a Jesus-like character. Furthermore, Stevenson demonstrates the same destruction that is in the Bible. Stevenson uses these three points to show that good always triumphant over evil.
