Bias against older workers is absurd


“Is bias against older workers absurd,” was the question asked by Diana Cornish. She said that prejudice against older workers is acceptable and widespread throughout the United States. Many men and women who work in human resources, even those of older ages themselves, say that individuals find it difficult to learn after the age of fifty. I do not agree because an older person can learn just as easily as a younger individual. A senior manager said that when looking for a job applicant he grabs about 50 applications and throws away those who are under 20 and older than 40.
