Concert Review / Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony / September 22, 2001
I have to say; my fiancée and myself had a very pleasant evening at the symphony. We had good seats ($55 each), heard a good performance, had a good meal, and gave us a break between juggling school and work.
Well, we might have been the youngest couple in attendance with myself being 25 and her 21. The couples sitting on both sides of us were our grandparents’ age. Everybody was pretty much dressed semi-formal. I was glad I wore my suit. Those older people sure do cough and clear their throats often, and they aren’t shy about doing it quietly. Maybe a good idea is to hand out throat lozenges before the show. I saw one of my old English teachers ...
