Beowulf

Beowulf: Hero or Savior?

A monk sits alone in the bitter cold , not making a sound. He might be grimacing if he were focused on the cold, but instead, a thin smile stretches across his pale lips. He's lost in he fantasy of the tale he writes, his numb trembling hand dragging his quill across the page as his words unwind the story. It's a tale he's heard many times from various people. Every time the story was told the details would be a little different, making it difficult for him to record it just as he had heard. But then again he realized, it didn't matter so much. The story would be his, he would make it his creation. The thin smile grew a little bigger as he paused and thought of this idea. He exhaled a puff of cool air and the quill was scribbling again. He would make the story tell of things in his life, the things he knew and cared about. His life had been devoted to Jesus Christ and he knew little else. He dreamed of adventures he'd never experienced....
