Beowulf

What exactly is the definition of a hero? Webster’s idea of a “hero” would be… “A man admired for his achievements and noble qualities.” That is exactly what one could believe about Beowulf. All of the people in the village adored their beloved Beowulf. They warmly welcomed him in as he agreed to protect and serve them in the best way he knew how. Before his new friends even saw Beowulf in action, he appears to the reader as a strong intimidating figure. As the reader can see, Beowulf is the perfect
hero.
