Beowulf

Beowulf is similar and can be compared to the Anglish people. One way this is illustrated in the poem is when the beginning of the poem the setting is described, “To glow across the land and light it; the corners of the earth were made lovely with trees and leafs, made quick with life, with each of the nations who now move on its face and then as now warriors sang as their pleasure.”(L 10) This is how the Anglish people saw their lives. The men were warriors and the often sang and made up riddles. “Wondering what the warriors would do when their drinking is done. He found them sprawled in sleep.”
(L 31) This also showed the way the Anglish men would spend most of their time in the meads drinking alcohol till they pass out.
