Beowulf is an epic about a man with super human strength. It is an ancient poem that was passed down through out the years by storytellers. He was a very famous hero. He was the greatest and the strongest of all Geats. He was arrogant but had reason to be. He could do what no man could do. He was everyone’s hero. He loved the fame he got.

Fame, not only did Beowulf love it he lived for it. When he came to relieve the Danes of Grendal he did not want to use a sword. He figured this way it would be more honorable and would become more famous for beating him using his bare hands.
