Being a stay at home mom

A Stay at home Mother


After the birth of our 5lb 3oz, blue eyed, second son, I felt the need to be a stay at home mother. I wondered how I could accomplish this since we had a hard enough time paying our bills with both my husband and I working.
During my lunch hours, I would sit back relax in a nice comfortable chair and listen to Dr. Laura Schelessinger on the radio. I remember thinking, “Gosh, how out of touch. Not everyone can stay home with there children. You have to be rich to live on one income. How dare she say, I am not doing right by my child.” Now that I look back at the way I felt toward Dr. Laura, I believe I was feeling negative because I was angry that I could not stay home with my children.
If you re not familiar with Dr. Schelessinger, she is a Television and Radio personality, who STRONGLY (that’s a slight understatement) believes that parents should raise their own children and not send them off to daycares or nannies. “Be your kids mom...
