In the film, Becket, the two lead characters, Thomas a Becket and Henry II, are nearly complete opposites. Practically the only thing they have in common is the love for one another. In the earlier years of their relationship Becket and Henry were very close. Later in Becket’s life he decided that he was going to live a life dedicated to God, while Henry was focused on himself being king. The two split in their ways of life and focuses.
