In the movie Batman Returns starring Michael Keaton, Danny DeVito, Christopher Walken and Michelle Pfeiffer and directed by Tim Burton there is an outstanding job done in creating the mood and specific character traits and character costumes of the Penguin. Tim Burton does an excellent job creating the Penguins lair. The penguins lair is an underground hideaway that is built in a sewer/run down Arctic exhibit that houses a plethora of penguins, evil goons and Oswald Cobblepot (The Penguin) . The outer walls are cold, solid concrete with ledges surrounding a small island in the center which holds the penguins throne. Surrounding the throne island is a moat of ice cold water which also contains abandoned toxic waste.
