What has this world come to these days? It often seems like everywhere you look, violence rears its ugly head. We see it in the streets, schools, and even at home. The home is a major source of violence. In many peoples’ living rooms, there sits an outlet for violence that usually goes unnoticed. It is the television, and the children that view it are often pulled into its realistic world of violence with sometimes horrible results.
Plenty of research has gone into showing why children are so captured by the television. It is definitely a major source of violent behavior in children. The research proves that aggression and television do go together. Many people are ignoring this problem in hopes that it will go away. And others don’t even care about it. But the truth is that television violence has the potential to cause children to be violent.
