Wilbur and Orville Wright’s Contributions to aviation were among the most important in our century. Most importantly it all began in their childhoods. The father of Wilbur and Orville Wright was a minister of the United Brethren Church, the Reverend Milton Wright (Rowland-Entwistle 6). Milton went to a small college at Hartsville, Indiana to study ministry (Rowland -Entwistle 6). He was given a license to preach in 1846 when he was only 18 years old, but he decided to spend some time teaching before taking up his duties as a preacher (Rowland -Entwistle 6).
