Attributes of God


An attribute is some characteristic that is permanent and distinguishes a thing or person from other things or persons. In the case of God, we find a large number of attributes which distinguish Him from all other things, persons, and gods. Our God is a God of many attributes. He is perfect in many ways, all of his infallible attributes prove this.
God is spirit. God is a non-material personal being, self-conscious and self-determining. God is someone we can get to know. He, unlike ourselves, doesn't need to be told what to do. On the other hand, He tells us what to do and how to live in a manner pleasing to Him. Just because He can't be seen by the human eye doesn't mean He is not there and therefore should be ignored. Quite the opposite is true, His creation demonstrates His existence.
