When people hear the company name "AT&T" they recognize it by the telecommunication services it provides. The AT&T Corporation stands for The American Telephone and Telegraph Company. They are one of the top telecommunications companies in the Unites States and a worldwide leader in communications services. For most of its history, the company functioned as a legally sanctioned, regulated monopoly. No competiotion was apparent until the 1970's. AT&T has many different aspects of business branched out form the companies telecommunication services. AT&T’s primary businesses involves long-distance services, AT&T Wireless Services, AT&T WorldNet services, AT&T Solutions consulting services, and the AT&T Universal Card This would have never been possible had they not brancehed off from their parent company.
