Assisted Suicide

The argument of whether doctors should be allowed to assist patients in suicide or not, has been a very sensitive and emotional topic for people of both sides. With machines to substitute organs and blood, there is no doubt that technology has helped save and prolong many lives. Assisted suicide should be legal for the critically ill because it's their life, they are going to die regardless, and they wont have to suffer.
Each person has a right over their own life. If a person's quality of life is poor and critical, they should have the right to chose how they want to go on. The right to commit suicide or to seek assistance should be up to the person who is in poor health condition. They have to deal with the long term consequences of their actions and should have the right to do so. No one should have the say-so of someone elses body nor should they have the privilage of deciding wether someone should live or die. The decision of life should be left in the hands of the cri...
