The Jewish Passover ceremony commemorates the events of the Exodus from Egypt, the suffering of the people and their relationships with God who led them out of slavery in Egypt. Passover is celebrated on the anniversary of the Exodus and it is left to each generation and every family to create the total experience. The Torah states “And on the 15th day of the month (Nisan) shall be a festival”. Aspects are the way in which religious traditions express itself. Beliefs, rituals, symbols, sacred texts and literature, social structure, myths and stories, code of behaviour and religious experiences are all aspects through which the tradition of Passover is shaped and formed. All the aspects involve dynamic interaction and symbiotically express the traditions’ beliefs. Inherent to Judaism are certain core beliefs; such as beliefs about redemption, Gods omnipotence, the special relationship between God and Jews, Man and the natural world, as well as the belief in a universal God who is ...
