1. Enter Word.
2. Write a paragraph and click anywhere in the paragraph.
3. Click “Format”, then click “Borders and Shading” then click the shading icon.
4. Choose your desired colour then click “OK”
5. Your paragraph should be shaded.
6. If you want specific text shaded, highlight the words and repeat process.

1. Choose a picture or object
2. Click “Format”
3. Click the “Picture” Icon then click “Lay-out”
